Znaczenie 'Doctor of Philosophy'

Wbrew logice, odpowiedź Diki w znaczeniu "Doctor of Philosophy" jest prawidłowa. PhD może oznaczać specjalizacje w wielu kierunkach. Z tego co mi się udało znaleźć w internecie, to "doktor filozofii" powinno być po angielsku "PhD in philosophy". Trochę to dziwnie wygląda, ale...
