Dense / thick - jakie są różnice?

Na pewno w stosunku do włosów można powiedzieć "thick hair".

Często w słowniku, gdy sprawdzasz słówko z prawej strony masz przykłady. Np. gdy wpisujesz w diki dense wyskakuje: dense smoke, population, cloud, forest, fog.
